Substance wanted a site which would consolidate a number of online services and portals into one place - the purpose of which was to collect feedback on a service they run called "Views".
A series of forums, nings, blogs and so forth had been created concerning Views, and they needed to be collected together as well as adding new features along the way. Information was exported from the old services and imported into the new site - as well as entirely new aspects being added, such as the feature request section and a signup form.
The feedback forms allow staff to view and analyse the data collected in various ways as well as allowing them to export the data collected for import into external applications (such as Excel). This has created a powerful tool for collecting and processing information through the web with great simplicity of use.
