A project to survey and map healthcare projects across various regions and health authorities of the UK, with the hope that increased visibility of green healthcare projects will inspire others and share information and experiences, Mapping Greener Healthcare was been set up to provide a platform to all NHS organisations for sharing their experiences and best practice of activities in sustainable development, good corporate citizenship and greening. It will monitor the impact of projects on carbon emissions where possible and help to get everyone networking. The website presents initiatives in all key areas of sustainable development: energy and carbon management, procurement and food, travel and transport, water, waste and the built environment. The website also looks at projects which were intended to improve health but which co-benefits contribute to sustainable development.
